Citizen control

In some situations the decisions can be handed over to the stakeholders themselves. A challenge is to find structure and labour division which is fair for all participants. It can be difficult, but the gain could be enormous, too. Most tools presented under dialogue and delegated power are useful here as well.

A third form for direct democracy is to, in more practical issues, assign a working group that locally has the responsibility for planning and carrying out a decision.

This is the most common form for delegated responsibility and decision-making. It may concern administration of public land next to a residential area, management of real estate, organising activities or implementing various projects.
